Looking for an alternative to your "fast" food options?
Well, here Ya Go, Slow Food Served Fast!
DJ'S Texas Style BBQ is a family run business that opened July of 2004 offering traditional Texas Style BBQ cooked slow and low on native Maine hardwoods. No Gas or Electric assist here as we believe BBQ is best when cooked over a low steady fire for long periods of time. Our woods of choice, (native to Maine), are Oak and Hickory blended together for a really extraordinary smoked flavor. Our cooking methods are not rushed, Briskets and Butts cook upwards of twelve hours before they are deemed ready for "No Teeth Required" dining! Our Loin Back Ribs require a bit less time on the pit, but still take about four and a half hours. All our meats are first seasoned (rubbed) with our own dry rub some twelve hours prior to cooking, achieving the near-perfect blend of seasoning and smoke. Our BBQ Sauce is made from an old Family recipe, and is the perfect compliment for any of our Savory BBQ.
